National University Golf Academy to host “Giving Back to the Military” Golf Tournament

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – National University Golf Academy will be hosting a free “Giving Back to the Military” golf tournament at the Marine Memorial Golf Course on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton beginning with a 1 p.m. shotgun start on Monday, April 25, 2011, California’s second-largest private, nonprofit institution of higher education announced today.

The tournament is open to “all ranks,” including active-duty, retired and members of the Department of Defense. Instructors from the National University Golf Academy will be hosting a free golf clinic from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. immediately prior to the tournament, which will follow a scramble format. All golfers will receive a free boxed lunch.

On hole number 4, a par 3, the first and only person to make a “hole-in-one” will receive $300.00 to be used toward goods and supplies purchased at camp Pendleton’s Golf Pro Shop.

Prizes at the tournament will include, but are not limited to: Gunnar Sports eyewear; free rounds of golf; a free swing analysis and 1-hour assessment at National University Golf Academy in Carlsbad; National University Golf Academy gear; and Addidas merchandise.
