Dr. Dawn Tamarkin

Dawn Tamarkin, Ph.D., has her doctorate in neuroscience and over 25 years experience in higher education as a professor. Prior to coming to National University, she was a biology professor and biology department chairperson at Springfield Technical Community College in Springfield, MA. She has been at National University since August of 2019. Her research is focused on inclusive teaching approaches in STEM. She has previously received two National Science Foundation awards to create approaches for learning in STEM that include more learners, with an emphasis on using a Universal Design for Learning approach. At National University she is the course lead for all anatomy and physiology courses as well as the Chairperson for the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
