National University Opens Online Information Center in Quantico, Virginia

Quantico, Virgina – National University has opened a unique online information center in Quantico Town, Virginia, California’s second-largest, private nonprofit institution of higher education announced today. The Online Information Center is the first of its kind to open on a United States military installation.

The Online Information Center will introduce military and civilian personnel and their families to online education and provide access to interactive demonstrations that will help prospective students explore associate’s, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs that are accessible via National University’s convenient 100 percent online format. A leader in online learning, National University offers more than 60 degrees via the Internet.

Visitors to the Online Information Center can speak with representatives from the University, as well as view on-screen demos and educational tools explaining National’s unique online format.

National University enjoys a distinguished reputation for its commitment to military education. G.I. Jobs and Military Advanced Education magazine have both ranked National University among its “Military Friendly Schools” and one of “America’s Top Military Friendly Colleges and Universities.” The University is a past winner of the prestigious Ray Ehrensberger Award for Institutional Excellence in Military Education. Additionally, Doug Barr, associate regional dean of military students at National University, is a recipient of the William Kennedy Award by the Council of Colleges and Military Educators for outstanding service in military education.

National University’s one-course-per-month format is ideally suited for men and women serving in the United States armed forces. National University operates learning centers and admissions offices at 10 military bases in California as well as one in Washington State at Naval Base Bremerton.

National University offers online courses at discounted rates to active duty military personnel and their dependents. On-base classes are offered for qualified students including active duty members, their spouse and dependents, Department of Defense employees, military retirees and selective military reserve members.
